This is a technical, hands-on role within a laboratory and foundry environment, offering long-term stability, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work as part of a skilled metallurgical team.
Lab Technician Duties:
Carrying out metallurgical testing and chemical analysis Supporting test bar failure investigations alongside metallurgists Foundry melt release and charge correction activities Managing material failure recovery and incoming material control Supporting third-party witnessing coordination Annual calibration and servicing of laboratory equipment Managing material bookings and monitoring testing timelines Developing and maintaining software systems for testing and subcontract monitoring PMI testing and reportingPay & Hours:
£14.00 - £17.00 p/hour (depending on experience) 37 hours per week 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Excellent benefits, including a highly competitive pension and life coverExperience & Skills Required:
