The role

We are looking to hire a detail focussed person to join our technical team. This role primarily involves testing the products made against their specification, and making any adjustments required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of the team that guarantee the quality of the products we supply to our customers. We are open to candidates with prior experience, or those looking to start a career in a manufacturing-based laboratory.

The successful candidate will also produce lab-scale samples of a wide variety of products, to support the sales process. Good communication skills, organisation and record keeping are a must.

Responsibilities and Duties

·      Following QC procedures to test production samples

·      Making adjustments to production blends that do not meet QC specification

·      Organise and carry out product testing e.g. performance, stability, compatibility, competitor analysis

·      Review alternative raw materials for use in production

·      Data entry of QC results to the computer system

·      Prepare and despatch samples to the customer

·      General upkeep and tidiness of the lab

·      Calibrating test equipment according to procedures

·      Support investigations into non-conforming materials

·      Making and sending product samples

·      Assist R&D with sampling

·      Product QC checks at filling stage

·      Preparation of bacteria testing

·      Assist with customer feedback from samples

·      Assist sales with product queries

Qualifications and Skills

·      Good Communication

·      Computer literacy

·      Background in chemistry preferred, but not essential

Please note this role is ON SITE 5 days per week. It CAN NOT be done remotely.

Salary C£25 to £28k depending on experience

37.5 hours each week.
