Job Description
A leading pathology provider is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Laboratory Services Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong scientific background, exceptional communication skills, and proven supervisory experience within a laboratory environment. The role is based in Kings Cross, London\n\nAbout the Role\n\nAs a Senior Laboratory Customer Services Supervisor, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of our laboratory service operations.
You will support and guide laboratory staff, uphold quality standards, and deliver consistently high levels of customer service to both internal teams and external clients.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nOversee daily laboratory service operations and support team members.\nSupervise staff, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards.\nProvide excellent customer service across telephone, email, and other communication channels.\nCollaborate closely with laboratory and administrative teams to ensure seamless workflow.\nMaintain high professional standards in all communications and interactions.\nContribute to continuous improvement activities within the department.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\nA scientific degree (e.g., Biomedical Science, Chemistry, or related field).\nMinimum 3+ years laboratory experience, ideally within pathology or a similar scientific discipline.\nSupervisory experience within a lab or technical environment.\nStrong communication skills — well‑spoken, professional, and confident.\nExcellent customer service ability with a focus on problem‑solving and client satisfaction.\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and support a busy team.\nComfortable working to high quality and regulatory standards.\n\nWorking Hours\n\nMonday to Friday: 8‑hour shift between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm (rotating/flexible).\nWeekend availability required.\nAfter passing probation, weekend shifts can be worked from home.\nSaturday & Sunday hours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nThis role suits someone who is:\n\nConfident, articulate, and professional in communication.\nMotivated and proactive with strong attention to detail.\nA supportive leader who can guide junior staff and maintain high performance standards.\nExperienced in a customer‑focused scientific setting.\n\nHow to Apply\n\nIf you are an enthusiastic scientific professional with leadership experience and a passion for high‑quality laboratory services, we would love to hear from you.
