Are you a Safety Engineer with a background in Land systems and hold SC clearance? Our client, a prominent organisation in the defence sector, is seeking a Contract Land Safety Engineer to join their team in Bristol, offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise within a highly regulated environment, supporting critical safety systems and acquisition programmes. The role is initially until June 2026, with the potential to extend, and offers a day rate of £350 to £420 (ex VAT). Key Responsibilities Include: Providing expert safety advice and guidance on acquisition safety policies and solutions for equipment in the land domain. Managing the development of technical safety requirements, including safety-related system architectures to high integrity levels. Supporting the generation of safety documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policy, and standards. Conducting hazard analysis, risk assessment, and contributing to risk reduction initiatives. Overseeing design processes to meet customer safety requirements within project constraints. Managing safety aspects of sub-systems, including safety assurance, verification, validation, and evaluation.
