To ensure personal compliance with Health and Safety, COSHH and other regulations.

To encourage greater use of parks by helping to provide quality features.

To ensure the council's standards of customer service are achieved.

Undertake construction and development work including hard and soft landscape projects in accordance with client's drawings and specifications.

Construct develop and maintain outdoor sports areas including natural and artificial surfaces in accordance with clients drawing and specifications.

Ensure all works are carried out within predetermined timescales and cost.

Assists in the maintenance and planting of trees and shrubs on highways and open spaces.

Assists in the application of chemicals in accordance with the Pesticides Regulations Act. Key Job Outcomes

To produce an acceptable standard of workmanship on routine activities.

To ensure the council's standards of customer service are achieved. Experience in landscape construction or construction industry. Construction related qualifications such as NVQ 1 City and Guilds desirable Operating Construction machinery. Landscaping skills such as planting shrubs, turf laying, concrete mixing. Use of hand tools for construction Reading site plans and drawings Working as part of a team Full clean driving licence desirable.
