Configuration Engineer (Laptop builds)
Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire Rate: £14.25 per hour (PAYE) Lots of OT on offer at 1.5x Contract: 3-Month Rolling Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or other shifts available
About the Role
We’re looking for a Configuration Engineer to join our growing Configuration Department. In this role, you’ll deliver accurate and efficient IT configuration services, working on a variety of systems and projects. Full training will be provided for bespoke in-house systems.
What You’ll Do
Install and configure software within existing IT infrastructures Build and configure systems following detailed scripts Perform manual data input (25–50% of the role) using spreadsheets Consolidate consignments for distribution Box/unbox IT equipment and support pallet movement Communicate progress and delays proactively Work to meet SLA targets and productivity goals
What We’re Looking For
✔ Strong written and verbal communication skills ✔ Background in IT or technical support ✔ Data input experience with excellent attention to detail ✔ Flexible and adaptable approach ✔ Reliable team player with great time management ✔ Knowledge of IT components and hardware
