Job Description
JDR recruitment are recruiting for a Laser Cutting and Punching Planner based in Oldham
\n
This is a permanent role starting immediately
\n
Salary on offer is £30-£35k per annum
\n
39 Hours per week over 4 Days Monday-Thursday (Flexi Time) between 6.45 am - 6.00 pm.
\n
The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal subcontracting. You are a charge hand or skilled operator with at least 5 years experience and you are IT literate.
\n
We are seeking a conscientious and proactive Planner to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring materials are available, and facilitating efficient workflow. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in fabrication, assembly, and sheet metal work

Duties
\n
\n
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet delivery deadlines
\n
Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure the availability of materials, tooling, and hand tools necessary for production
\n
Analyse work orders and drawings to plan fabrication, welding, grinding, and assembly activities
\n
Monitor inventory levels of sheet metal and other raw materials, placing orders as needed
\n
Collaborate with the engineering department to review technical specifications and improve manufacturing processes
\n
Utilise basic maths skills to calculate dimensions, quantities, and material requirements accurately
\n
Assist in troubleshooting production issues related to fabrication or assembly processes
\n
Ensure safety standards are adhered to during planning and execution of tasks
\n
Maintain accurate documentation of production plans and modifications for continuous improvement
\n
\n
