Our client is a well-known London full-service law firm with a particularly strong reputation in the area of real estate. For succession purposes, they are seeking to bring in a senior leasehold enfranchisement/lease extension lawyer to take over the caseload of a retiring partner. The firm will consider existing partners for the role or senior associates who are keen to make the step up to partnership. The role will involve advising both landlords and tenants regarding prospective lease extensions and enfranchisements. This will include acting for developers with large property portfolios who are approached by their lessees seeking to extend their leases, as well as advising individual tenants seeking lease extensions.
