Role Overview

As a Family Lawyer, you will handle a diverse caseload involving divorce, child custody, financial settlements, domestic abuse, and other family-related matters. You’ll work closely with clients to provide empathetic, strategic, and effective legal counsel, while contributing to the growth and reputation of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and represent clients in family law matters including divorce, separation, child arrangements, and financial disputes

• Draft legal documents such as petitions, witness statements, and consent orders

• Attend court hearings and advocate on behalf of clients

• Negotiate settlements and liaise with opposing counsel

• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legal standards

• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver holistic legal solutions

• Contribute to business development and client retention initiatives

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or legal executive with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE in family law

• Strong knowledge of UK family law and court procedures

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills

• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and efficiently

• Empathetic and client-focused approach

• Experience with mediation and alternative dispute resolution is a plus
