Job Description

Lead Analytics Consultant

Location: UK (Hybrid – remote with up to 20% client travel)

Salary: £80,000–£100,000 (DOE)

The Company:

This fast-growing consultancy is helping organisations move beyond buzzwords and start getting real, measurable value from their data. They design modern data platforms, shape practical data & AI strategies, and deliver solutions that don’t just get built — they actually get used. With continued investment and a growing client base, they’re now building out their senior consulting layer to lead flagship projects and shape the future of the practice.

The Role:

You’ll be at the centre of high-profile client engagements, working across data strategy, AI opportunities, and delivery execution. This is about turning complex business challenges into clear roadmaps, guiding delivery teams to execute, and ensuring solutions scale and stick. You’ll also have the chance to mentor consultants, shape engagements, and build lasting client relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading end-to-end strategy engagements, from discovery and assessment through to roadmaps and operating models.
  • Running workshops with senior stakeholders to align priorities, set value metrics, and define success.
  • Translating strategy into delivery plans — shaping architecture, backlogs, and delivery focus areas.
  • Course-correcting initiatives: cutting low-value work, re-focusing on impact, and proving value quickly.
  • Steering multidisciplinary delivery squads (engineering, analytics, data science) to ensure quality and unblock progress.
  • Driving adoption by embedding processes, measurement, and enablement so solutions land and last.
  • Coaching and mentoring consultants, raising the bar on both technical and consulting craft.
  • Growing accounts through outcomes, building trusted relationships and spotting opportunities.

Your Background:

  • Proven consulting experience leading data and analytics programmes, ideally with exposure to AI/ML.
  • Able to speak both “business” and “tech” — credible with execs and architects alike.
  • Broad technical understanding: modern cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), ingestion/ELT, modelling, governance, BI, ML.
  • Comfortable getting hands-on when needed, whether in discovery, prototyping, or shaping delivery backlogs.
  • Value-driven, with a focus on adoption, operating models, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong communicator and facilitator: runs senior workshops, builds roadmaps, and tells a compelling story.
  • Enjoys coaching and developing others, setting standards for delivery and consulting excellence.
