Lead Combustion Technician

Up to £58,000per annum + benefits

Greenwich Peninsula, Greater London

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Lead Combustion Technician to join their O&M Plant Team this role will involve reporting to the Technical Manager, the Lead Combustion Technician will take a senior hands-on role delivering operation and maintenance services across the portfolio of heat networks.

As a Lead Combustion Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Completion of planned preventative maintenance on commercial gas boilers and associated plant
  • Fault finding, repair, and reinstatement of commercial gas boilers, pumps, valves, and pipework
  • Attendance at reactive callouts to reinstate heat and resolve plant failures
  • Participation in and management of the on-call rota (typically 1 week in 4)
  • Management of site-based remediation and improvement works
  • Assisting with the management, mentoring, and development of plant engineers
  • Leading by example in safety, quality, and professionalism always
  • Other duties required

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer
  • Valid commercial gas qualifications including TPCP1 and BMP1
  • NVQ Level 3 in Gas / Plumbing & Heating
  • Experience maintaining and repairing commercial boilers (e.g. Hovel, Hamworthy, Ideal, Buderus)

Basic electrical competency and safe isolation experience

  • Full UK driving licence
