Lead Design Engineer – Aircraft Structures (eVTOL / Advanced Air Mobility)

We are recruiting for a Lead Design Engineer – Aircraft Structures to support the development of next-generation eVTOL aircraft within the Advanced Air Mobility sector.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on primary and secondary airframe structures, including wing, fuselage and empennage assemblies. You will be responsible for composite and metallic structural design, 3D modelling, and supporting prototype aircraft build and certification activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Design of aircraft primary and secondary structures

* Experience of leading engineering teams ranging from 5 to 20 team members

* Composite and metallic detail and assembly design

* 3D modelling using CATIA V5 and 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX)

* Use of Fibresim / CPD (Composites Design 3)

* Creation of drawings and engineering data for manufacture

* ECN generation and design change management

* Support FAA / EASA certification activities

* Collaboration with systems integration teams

* Windchill PLM data management

* GD&T and tolerance stack analysis

Required Experience

* Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering

* Strong experience in aircraft structures design

* Proven expertise in CATIA V5, Fibresim and Windchill

* Knowledge of composite materials and aerospace manufacturing processes

* Experience with GD&T and airworthiness standards

Experience within eVTOL, UAV, fixed-wing or rotorcraft programmes is highly desirable.
