Role: Lead Electrical Integration Engineer

Location: Plymouth (hybrid/remote)

Duration: 12 months (possible for extension)

Rate: £80/hour

We are looking for a Lead Electrical Integration Engineer to support the design of integrated cross‑site services. The focus of this role will be supporting the engineering capability of the new systems through the design phases.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as Electrical Discipline lead for the project
  • Collaborate across engineering functions and stakeholders to integrate designs within the overall facility layout and manage interfaces
  • Collate and prioritise technical design issues
  • Undertake coordination activities to ensure a fully integrated facility design
  • Identify scope gaps and support resolution
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Package Technical Leads
  • Report on project status to Head of Department
  • Lead as intelligent customer on discrete packages of work

Experience

  • Experience in a highly regulated environment (essential)
  • Electrical engineering background, preferably power distribution (essential)
  • Knowledge of relevant technical regulations and standards such as BS 7671, BS EN 60204, BS EN 62305, BS EN 61000 (essential)
  • Experience with major infrastructure projects (desirable)
  • Experience with nuclear projects (desirable)

Expectations

  • UK national, able to get SC (can start on BPSS)
  • Degree qualified chartered engineer (or significant relevant experience)
  • Long‑term commitment (12 months+)
