We are looking for an Electrical Lead to support an Indonesian-based LNG Project in Jakarta. The Lead will be responsible for interfacing with the Electrical Client counterpart, Electrical Lead Engineer in the UK, coordinating with the Jakarta-based project partners on Electrical matters, and managing Jakarta-based Electrical Project work.

The Lead will, under broad direction, supervise and lead a group of engineers. Provide technical direction over a group and be responsible for coaching and developing lower-level professionals. The Lead will plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Perform all aspects of Electrical scope area as part of a project team, or provide specialist expertise in one or more key project areas.
  2. Supervise and lead the Electrical team: provide technical direction, employee performance appraisals, and coaching for lower-level professionals.
  3. Lead the design of larger and more complex assignments.
  4. Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
  5. Lead the project Electrical team with appropriate experience.

Skills and Experience

  1. Skills gained through undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including final year design projects and work placements.
  2. Expertise in one or more areas of Electrical scope.
  3. Ability to verify completeness of deliverables such as philosophies, specifications, and power system study reports.
  4. Previous experience in LNG projects and with KBR is preferred.

Educational Requirements

  1. BEng or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Masters degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred).
  3. Chartered Engineer membership of an accredited institution, e.g., IET.
