The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Electronics Engineer to join a growing industrial technology business. You will lead and provide technical direction to a small team, delivering electronics platforms for new products while maintaining existing designs. You’ll be involved in all stages of the electronics engineering lifecycle, from requirements capture through to release validation and approval.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a small electronics engineering team, promoting best practices and alignment with development processes.

Take a holistic approach to product design, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and quality standards are met.
*
Collaborate with product management to explore innovative new product offerings while guiding feasible design within project timelines.
*
Maintain awareness of product roadmaps and relevant research developments; recommend new research areas for exploration.
*
Solve technical issues using structured problem-solving methods, including 8D reports where appropriate.
*
Build strong relationships with external suppliers and subject matter experts to adopt the latest technologies and expand team knowledge.
*
Work closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to ensure products meet safety, quality, and reliability expectations.
What We’re Looking For
*
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
*
Strong knowledge of analogue, high-speed digital, power electronics, motor technologies, motor control, and related systems.
*
Experience with EMC compliance, design-for-reliability, and electronics manufacturing.
*
Experience in regulated, compliance-driven industries.
*
Comfortable working in global, multi-disciplinary engineering teams with strong communication and decision-making skills.
*
Familiarity with product development processes and project management frameworks (Waterfall, Agile/SCRUM).
