Lead Engineer Telford - hybrid working Up to 80k + car allowance
Role Responsibilities
Take responsibility for managing and delivering activities across the Functional Safety lifecycle within project environments. Lead and support multidisciplinary engineering teams, including external contractors, ensuring all deliverables meet project requirements, regulatory obligations, and relevant industry standards. Provide guidance and technical mentoring to early-career engineers, trainees, apprentices, and graduates. Work closely with project leadership to ensure engineering outputs are delivered within budget, on schedule, and to the required quality standards, including identifying technical risks and managing design changes. Contribute to internal engineering forums and working groups aimed at improving technical standards, processes, and engineering practices across the organisation. Develop electrical and control system concepts and documentation, including items such as: Functional Design Specifications Safety Requirements documentation Electrical single-line diagrams Network architecture layouts Equipment/device layout drawings Cause and effect matrices Functional safety architecture diagrams Produce and maintain software and control system design documentation, including development and configuration of automation platforms such as programmable controllers, operator interfaces, supervisory systems, robotics, drive systems, a...
