Lead Fitter - Pumps (Workshop Based) Salary: Up to £36,000 Location: FK Area Sector: Engineering An established engineering services organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Lead Fitter to join its workshop team. This is a hands-on leadership role for a highly skilled mechanical professional with extensive experience working on rotating equipment, particularly centrifugal pumps, motors, and turbines. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality overhaul and repair work is completed to exacting standards while supporting workshop efficiency and mentoring less experienced engineers.
The Role
As Lead Fitter, you will be responsible for leading workshop-based overhauls of pumps and rotating equipment while ensuring safe working practices and maintaining the highest quality standards. You will work closely with supervisors, engineers, and inspection teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. You will also provide first-line leadership within the workshop, helping to drive team performance, maintain strong health & safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
