Overview: A leading UK construction and infrastructure group is seeking a Lead Internal Auditor to join its Group Services division. This role offers a home-based working arrangement, with some travel (up to 20%) to various sites across the Midlands and Northern England.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, lead, and execute internal audits across multiple business functions.

Guide and support audit colleagues in identifying findings and agreeing on action plans.

Review and finalize audit reports and follow up on action implementation.

Facilitate risk reviews across business units.

Engage with stakeholders at all levels to communicate findings and support improvements.
Candidate Profile:

Qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g. CIA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA).

Previous experience in internal audit or public practice, ideally with experience leading audit teams.

Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and constructive feedback.
*
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in both remote and face-to-face settings.
*
Construction industry experience is advantageous but not required.
