Lead Java Engineer – Low Latency, High Throughput, Front Office, LMAX Disruptor, Aeron, Real-time Streaming, SQL, Fixed IncomeA Lead Java Engineer with expertise in low latency, high throughput Front Office trading systems is sought after by a global Investment Bank to join their Fixed Income Technology Platform team.The team are responsible for the core platform underpinning several business lines including Emerging Markets & Repos, and following recent investment from the business, are embarking on a major replatforming and modernisation programme.The aim of this platform is to reduce system latency, pushing towards real-time streaming capabilities, re-architect into a highly componentised microservices based platform, as well as long-term strategic cloud migration.As a Lead Engineer, you will have direct input into shaping this modernisation programme with regards to future-state architecture, development approach and acting as a liaison between the engineering team and the business.To be successful, you will demonstrate: Strong hands-on Core Java skills with deep knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, garbage collection, caching etc.Experience with any of LMAX Disruptor, Aeron, Solace or Kafka to achieve low latencyAn understanding of cloud-based engineering and componentised/microservices architectureA background in Front Office Development and ability to confidently face off to business users/stakeholders If you are interested in helping shape the next generation of a highly performant Fixed Income trading platform, please do apply!JBRP1_UKTJ
