Lead Maintenance Engineer London (Wembley/ Park Royal)\n\nSalary: £62,000 plus bonus \n Shifts: 4 on 4 off DAYS only\n Sector: Manufacturing / Production\n\nOverview\n\nOn behalf of our client, a leading name in the manufacturing sector, we are recruiting for an experienced Lead Maintenance Engineer. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong leadership skills and an electrical bias to take ownership of maintenance operations within a busy production environment.\n\nThe successful Lead Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for both supervising the maintenance team and remaining actively involved in day-to-day maintenance and repair activities across the facility.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAct as the Lead Maintenance Engineer, overseeing and coordinating all site maintenance tasks.\nLead, guide, and support a team of multi-skilled maintenance technicians, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.\nRemain hands-on, carrying out fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a range of electrical and mechanical machinery.\nPlan and manage preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring all work is completed to high standards and in a timely manner.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives, recommending and implementing efficiency and reliability enhancements.\nEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and company maintenance standards.\nLiaise with production and operations teams to quickly resolve technical issues and support manufacturing targets.Candidate Requirements\n\nProven experience as a Lead Maintenance Engineer or Senior Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment.\nHand on experience of maintaining machinery. \nPrevious experience leading or mentoring a maintenance team.\nRecognised engineering qualification (HNC/HND/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.\nStrong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance.\nExcellent communication and organisational skills.\nFlexibility to support shift patterns or call-out requirements as needed.Opportunity\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity for a driven and capable Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality and innovation.
