Lead Maintenance Engineer

The Lead Maintenance Engineer/ Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/ Senior Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and safety of all factory machinery, plant equipment, and facilities. This is a hands-on role focused on preventative maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement to maximise uptime and support production efficiency.
Package:
£47,000 rising to £50,000 after 1 year
Monday–Friday day shift fixed on 06:00 till 14:00
Ongoing training and development opportunities
Lead Maintenance Engineer Role:
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across factory machinery.
Lead fault-finding and troubleshooting to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Plan and implement TPM and PPM schedules, ensuring all maintenance activities are up to date.
Support equipment installations and commissioning of new machinery.
Be able to commute to Birmingham and are happy to travel Requirements:
Proven experience as a Lead Maintenance Engineer/ Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/ Senior Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment
Recognised qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotic systems desirable.
Strong understanding of TPM / PPM systems, health and safety procedures, and contractor management
Be able to commute to Birmingham and are happy to travel
