We are looking for an experienced and proactive Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team. This role leads the manufacturing activities, focusing on optimising manufacturing processes, improving product quality and the industrialisation of new product introductions into production. The successful candidate will have previously led a team and have experience with metal forming processes.

Lead Manufacturing Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Lead the manufacturing engineering activities within the business unit.
Develop manufacturing processes to maximise quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Drive strong process control and process capability across all manufacturing operations
Support and execute the industrialization of New Product Introductions (NPI), including the development of production processes, tooling, work instructions, and validation plans
Apply APQP processes to ensure product and process readiness for manufacturing and timely delivery.
Lead the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) to verify that product designs and manufacturing processes meet specifications and are capable of mass production.
Define, document, and maintain robust manufacturing process controls including routings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Skills & Experience
Hands on experience with metal forming processes (forging, rolling, extrusion, stamping and/or bending)
Proven team leadership experience
Experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer or similar
Practical experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving.
