Job Description

Role Overview

As the Offshore Methods Lead, you will report to the Installation Methods Manager and play a key role within a major energy transition project focused on carbon reduction initiatives. You will oversee the activities of the methods engineering team, ensuring effective coordination of tasks and workloads. The role involves providing both technical direction and administrative support to team members to ensure project objectives are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and implement the work programme in line with approved plans, technical requirements, and project specifications Interpret engineering designs and contribute to their practical application, identifying opportunities for optimisation where appropriate Oversee document control processes, including review, distribution, and filing systems through the team Track project progress across all phases, reviewing engineering outputs, calculations, and reports to ensure compliance with project standards Liaise with client representatives, including participation in technical and interface meetings Collaborate closely with offshore personnel, providing technical guidance to vessel-based teams and supporting installation activities Ensure all operational records, checklists, and installation documentation are completed accurately and submitted for quality control review Take part in critical offshore operations to verify execution aligns with planned methodologies, capturing feedback and lessons learned Conduct site visits and inspections to confirm compliance with project and safety requirements

Candidate Profile

Demonstrated experience in construction or installation methods, particularly related to pipeline shore approaches or similar infrastructure Background within large-scale engineering or energy projects, ideally in offshore or subsea environments
