Lead Product Manager


• £100,000–£110,000 + bonus

• London or Manchester | Hybrid 2–3 days


We are working with a global health technology provider delivering mission-critical Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) across the UK. Following the award of four major pathology contracts, our client is entering a complex multi-year implementation phase that will reshape how laboratory services operate across NHS networks. This newly created role strengthens UK product leadership at a pivotal moment of scale, complexity and national visibility.


The Lead Product Manager will define and steer the UK pathology product direction, ensuring contractual commitments are delivered while safeguarding the stability of a platform that underpins critical healthcare infrastructure.


Role Highlights – core tasks & impact

  • Prioritise and structure a substantial backlog of contractual product initiatives
  • Adapt global LIMS capabilities to meet complex UK laboratory requirements
  • Partner closely with UK and international engineering teams
  • Represent UK product interests in senior leadership forums
  • Protect platform robustness where downtime carries significant financial and clinical risk


You Will Need – key skills/experience

  • Strong background in pathology, ideally within commercial laboratory settings
  • Deep understanding of LIMS/LIS platforms and high-volume diagnostic test configuration
  • Experience delivering software through long, complex implementation cycles
  • Ability to operate at granular product detail while influencing strategic decisions
  • Confidence to challenge constructively, understanding implications for laboratories and clinicians
