OverviewBase Location: AberdeenSalary: £66,100 - £99,100 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options availableThe roleDue to significant, sustained growth throughout the Business we have an exciting opportunity for 2 Lead Project Managers to join the Offshore Delivery team within SSEN Transmission with responsibility for execution phase delivery of Netherton Hub located projects:Spittal to Peterhead HVDC - Lot 2Longside AC 400kV/132kV Substation project.Netherton Hub - SSEN Transmission.You willAt all times, safety will be at the heart of your role ensuring all work is executed safely in accordance with the SSE safety licence - "if it's not safe, we don't do it."Be accountable for the delivery of a £500m+ civil, building, and substation packages as part of the wider HVDC project, whilst managing a team of Project and Senior Project Managers and working closely with external delivery contractors and consultants. You will have demonstratable experience of operating and performing in a similar delivery environment.Work closely with the Transmission Management team to uphold the highest level of safety performance and ensure projects are refined, constructed and commissioned in accordance with regulatory requirements whilst championing SSEs Safety Golden Rules.Have full accountability for the NEC3 contract management of your packages, including interface management and change control, whilst providing strong commercial leadership to your project team.Build and maintain productive and enduring relationships with contractors, stakeholders, and communities to support the sustainable delivery of the projects that you are responsible for.You haveExperience leading project teams to deliver large civil engineering infrastructure projects of £100m+, successfully through the execution phase. Prior delivery of energy infrastructure projects preferred but not essentialStrong NEC3 contract negotiation and administration experience and ability to lead on complex contractual matters.Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) and an advanced understanding of project management systems and governance for the execution of large projects.An engineering, construction, or project management qualification / degree or equivalent experience. You will preferably hold a professional membership or registration, in Project Management or Engineering.Experience in a pre-construction project delivery environment, planning for project success to de-risk project execution and deliver safely, on time and within budget.About SSESSE has a bold ambition - to be a leading energy company in a net zero world.
