Are you a Chartered Engineer with a proven track record in managing high-risk, high-consequence activities within the Defence and Security sectors? Evodia Limited is currently helping our client, a respected organisation in the Defence domain, to find a Lead Safety Engineer based in Bristol, with flexible hybrid working arrangements. This is a contract role until September 2026, with scope for extension, along with a day rate ranging from £570 to £770 (Inside IR35). About the Role In this position, you will operate within the Land Domain, leading an Acquisition Safety Team involved in high-stakes activities. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing safety in the Op A "Design Hub" within the Support Plans team, working closely with the Land Environment Director and the National Armaments Directorate. Your role will involve regular reporting, both weekly and bi-weekly, and collaboration with the NAD team to ensure all safety and environmental standards are met. This role offers a unique blend of remote work and essential site visits: Weekly visits to Bristol for meetings (included within the day rate). Fortnightly visits to Coventry to engage with suppliers (expenses can be claimed). What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will bring: Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
