A leading law firm is seeking a Lead Senior HR Advisor to play a pivotal role in delivering a high‑quality, commercially focused HR service across the business. This is a senior advisory and people‑leadership role, combining hands‑on HR delivery with oversight of HR Advisors and Assistants, and close partnership with HR Business Partners and senior stakeholders. The role

Lead and supervise a central team of HR Advisors and HR Assistants, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance Deliver end‑to‑end HR advisory support across the employee lifecycle for designated client groups Act as a trusted advisor to managers on complex employee relations matters, including performance, absence, and investigations Oversee HR workflow management, shared inboxes, SLAs, and process efficiency Support recruitment activity from role approval through onboarding, working closely with Talent Acquisition Draft and amend job descriptions and lead job evaluation for new roles Prepare business cases for headcount approvals and intention‑to‑hire requests Ensure compliance with employment law, regulatory obligations, and internal HR policies Use HR data and metrics to provide insight, reporting, and decision‑making support Contribute to firmwide people initiatives, including DE&I, wellbeing, reward, and performance management Lead and coordinate HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About you

CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience) Proven experience as a Senior HR Advisor, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment Confident managing and developing HR team members Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Comfortable advising on sensitive and complex people matters Highly organised, detail‑driven, and able to manage competing priorities Strong stakeholder management and influencing skillsProficient with HR systems and Microsoft Office
