Job Title: Lead Service Engineer – Water Treatment & Equipment\nLocation: London (with travel, working away, some night and weekend work when operationally necessary)\nSalary: Up to £50kpa depending on experience + Vehicle + Package\nContract Type: Full-time, Permanent\nDue to the nature of the role, sponsorship is not available.\nAbout Our Client:\nOur growing client, a market leader in testing, inspection, and certification services across the UK, is seeking a dedicated Lead Service Engineer to join their Environment & Safety Division within the Water Consultancy & Equipment (WEQ) Team. This team provides crucial services including statutory water hygiene tasks, chemical analysis, and the service, repair and maintenance of essential water treatment equipment such as Reverse Osmosis Units and Water Softeners. You will play a vital role in upholding their reputation for world-class service and technical excellence across major UK client sites.\nThe Opportunity:\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Service Engineer ready to step into a leadership and technical expert role.

Benefits include:\n * Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.\n * 25 days annual leave with the option to buy more.\n * Electric Car Scheme (where applicable).\n * Enhanced company pension and life assurance.\n * Employee Recognition Schemes and a family-friendly support system.\n * Employee benefits and discounts app, and Employee Assistance Programmes.\nKey Responsibilities\n * Equipment Servicing & Maintenance: Service and maintain comprehensive water treatment systems including Softeners, Reverse Osmosis Units, Ozone Units, Side Stream Filtration Units, UV Units, and Dosing Units.\n * Technical Problem Resolution: Diagnose technical issues and execute remedial solutions for water treatment equipment to ensure optimal performance.\n * Project Leadership: Lead and oversee installation projects for water treatment equipment from inception to completion.\n * Procedure Development: Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop comprehensive service procedures for all equipment.\n * Technical Expertise & Support: Serve as the primary technical contact for inquiries regarding the product portfolio.\n * Process Improvement: Work alongside the Operations Manager to enhance team efficiency through report redesign and operational improvements.\n * Training & Development: Deliver comprehensive training programs and monitor Service Engineer performance.\n * Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety procedures across all client locations.\n * Client Site Management: Develop expertise across major client sites and establish detailed service procedures for consistent delivery.\n * Travel Requirements: Requires flexibility for travel assignments, including potential overnight stays and weekend work as operational needs dictate.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nThe ideal candidate will be a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused individual with a proven track record:\n * 3+ years experience servicing water treatment equipment (Softener, RO, Ozone, UV, Dosing Units).\n * Strong technical problem-solving and fault-finding capabilities.\n * Demonstrable Leadership experience in installation projects and team management.\n * Excellent communication skills for technical support and training delivery.\n * Proven ability in Process Development for creating procedures and documentation.\n * Experience in training and mentoring technical staff.\n * Strong Health & Safety compliance knowledge in industrial environments.\n * Willingness to travel, including nights and weekend work.\nApply Today!
