Mint Selection are partnering with a leading multi-utility and infrastructure delivery organisation within the UK energy sector who are seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a BESS project on a long-term contract based in Leeds.The role will focus on coordinating site activities across civil, electrical, and commissioning workstreams, ensuring safe delivery, programme adherence, and high-quality execution on a complex grid-connected energy project.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day site activities across construction and commissioning phasesAct as the Principal Contractor representative ensuring CDM and HSE complianceCoordinate contractors carrying out installation, testing and commissioning worksConduct regular site walkarounds, safety inspections and progress reviewsLead contractor meetings and maintain clear communication across site teamsEnsure works are delivered in line with RAMS, permits and safe systems of workMonitor programme progress and proactively manage risks and delaysSupport cost control and provide input for project reporting and forecastingMaintain site documentation including reports, permits and QA recordsOversee commissioning activities and ensure smooth project handoverRequirementsExperience as a Site Manager on energy projects is essential, with a background in renewable or power generation projects such as BESS, solar, wind, or SubstationsExperience managing construction, commissioning or project completion phasesStrong understanding of CDM regulations, RAMS and permit systemsSMSTS or SSSTS certification (essential)IOSH or NEBOSH (advantageous)Strong contractor coordination and communication skillsProficient in project planning tools (MS Project desirable)These will be 12-month renewable contracts and are outside IR35.If interested, please apply within or contact Harry Arnold. #J-18808-Ljbffr
