The FactSet Wealth Platform is a strategic investment in the Wealth Portfolio Lifecycle that will deepen our capabilities across Performance, Risk, Portfolio Management and Proposal Generation. The system interacts with millions of portfolios. Within the FactSet Wealth Platform, we’re looking for a technical lead to drive the development of our Portfolio Management system. This technical lead will partner with FactSet Institutional Buy Side colleagues to build performance front‑end applications that leverage innovative computation solutions and deliver on our strategic goals. Technical stack: JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, VueJS, Rest API, AWS Responsibilities
Execute on Portfolio Management strategic initiatives. Work with product and cross‑SBU teams to deliver on Portfolio Management deliverables. The goal is to provide meaningful value to Wealth Portfolio Management workflows and keep us ahead of the competition. Follow best practices and work independently, ensuring the adoption of reusable component design and reducing new technical debt. Support and expand the Wealth Portfolio Management backend. Expand on existing AWS workflows and pair with various API’s and calculation engines. Partner with Product peers and relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with peers in Product to understand the vision for advisory workflow solutions. Provide feedback and help shape the direction to establish Portfolio Management as the cornerstone of Wealth Manager workflows.
Minimum Requirements
Five years of engineering experience with a strong track record of success. A good experience working on a large‑scale project. Strong communication skills – distilling complex business needs into actionable tasks.
Critical Skills
Strong web development experience (TypeScript/JavaScript/Vue.js/HTML). Experience in React.js is also considered. Strong debugging skills with an analytical mindset. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders. Interest in growing into management to guide an established team (experience is a plus). Excellent execution skills to deliver on goals.
Additional Skills
Experience with AWS is a plus. Historical complex project execution is a plus. Knowledge of data analysis and visualisation to support actionable insights for end users. Dedication to driving innovation, quality assurance, and ongoing process enhancement. Ability to drive the development of intuitive, client‑facing applications.
Education
Bachelor’s in computer science or a relevant field.
