Lead Software Engineer We are recruiting on behalf of our client who are looking for two talented Lead Software Engineers to join growing team. Our client is a newly established, high-growth technology venture backed by leading organisations in the consulting and investment sectors. They are building a top-tier engineering team and are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help shape their technical direction from day one. What you’ll do:

Work with business stakeholders to design and deliver complex technical projects Make key technical decisions across architecture, engineering, and delivery Develop innovative solutions to client challenges Collaborate with data, AI, and engineering teams in a highly cross‑functional environment Lead technical design, prototyping, and build activities Mentor engineers and champion modern technologies

What we’re looking for:

5+ years’ software engineering experience, ideally with client‑facing or consulting exposure Strong hands‑on skills in Python or Java, modern web frameworks, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL and front‑end technologies Experience with data‑heavy systems and scalable architecture Understanding of cloud, AI engineering concepts, and DevOps practices Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills Strong academic background in a technical field (2:1 and above from a Russell Group University) Immediate impact and real ownership Highly collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment Opportunity to shape culture and technical standards from the ground up
