Lead Solution Architect – Infrastructure & EUC


This is a senior architecture role with a purpose: helping to deliver the digital backbone for one of the UK’s most exciting clean energy programmes. You’ll shape the design of infrastructure and End User Compute solutions that support the development of next-generation nuclear technology — a key part of the global move towards greener, more sustainable energy.

  • Working: 2-3 times a week on site
  • Package: Up to £86,940 + benefits

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading architecture for infrastructure and EUC domains, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business strategy.
  • Acting as the technical design authority, providing governance and assurance across multiple projects.
  • Designing solutions that integrate seamlessly into enterprise systems and support a sustainable IT landscape.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to shape requirements into practical, future-ready designs.
  • Driving standards for cloud platforms, workplace technologies, and digital infrastructure.
  • Mentoring and guiding technical teams, embedding architectural best practice.
  • Defining and maintaining reference architectures and reusable patterns for infrastructure and EUC delivery.


Main Skills Needed

  • Deep expertise in infrastructure architecture and End User Compute environments.
  • Strong knowledge of integration, cloud adoption, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead governance and influence technical direction across programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience coaching architects and technical teams.
  • Relevant certifications (TOGAF, ITIL, Microsoft, VMware, Citrix) would be highly beneficial.
