Location: London
Hours: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join a supportive, multidisciplinary team within a specialist independent school. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality therapy for children and young people with a range of speech, language, and communication needs, including autism, developmental language disorder, sensory needs, and complex profiles.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Providing specialist assessment, intervention, and review for children aged 418.

  • Delivering targeted and specialist therapy, including small-group and 1:1 sessions.

  • Writing high-quality reports and contributing to EHCP reviews.

  • Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and the wider therapy team to support communication across the school day.

  • Supervising junior therapists and assistants (if applicable).

  • Delivering training to staff and supporting whole-school communication initiatives.

What Were Looking For

  • HCPC Registered Speech and Language Therapist (Band 7 level or strong Band 6 stepping up).

  • Experience working in schools, SEN settings, or paediatric services.

  • Strong clinical skills across ASD, language delay/disorder, social communication, and functional communication.

  • Confident, warm communicator with a child-centred approach.

  • Ability to work autonomously within a supportive MDT.
