Learning & Development Manager

Belfast – Food Manufacturing

I’m working with a growing food manufacturer in Northern Ireland looking to appoint a Learning & Development Manager to build and lead the training function across the business.

This is a newly created role with responsibility for developing, implementing and continuously improving learning and development across production, technical and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the site learning & development strategy
• Build training matrices across all departments
• Design onboarding and competency-based training programmes
• Support production leadership with skills development
• Ensure compliance with food safety and customer standards
• Work cross-functionally with Operations, Technical and HR
• Track training effectiveness and competency progression
• Drive continuous improvement in capability across the site

Ideal Background

• Learning & Development / Training experience in manufacturing
• Food manufacturing experience highly desirable
• Experience building training frameworks from scratch
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Hands-on and structured approach
