Job Description

Copello are supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an opportunity to shape and deliver a forward-thinking L&D strategy within a highly technical production environment.


This role is based in Glenrothes or Livingston, with flexible working available.


What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned to manufacturing and operational goals.
  • Identify skills gaps across engineering and production teams through structured training needs analysis.
  • Design and deliver blended learning solutions across technical and leadership development.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety, and quality frameworks.
  • Lead talent development initiatives, including succession planning and leadership pathways.
  • Manage L&D budgets, external training providers and learning systems (LMS).
  • Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation within learning processes.


What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in an L&D leadership role within manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of technical training and workforce capability development.
  • Relevant qualification (CIPD or similar) preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
