This is an excellent opportunity to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, working closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to help pupils reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

About the role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing targeted support to students with additional needs, including SEN, EAL or those requiring academic intervention

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence

Assisting class teachers with lesson delivery, differentiation and classroom management

Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and independence in learning

Working collaboratively with teachers, the SEND department and pastoral teams

Supporting students’ social, emotional and academic development in line with school expectations

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant (LSA) you will:

Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred
A positive, patient and proactive approach to supporting students
Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check / Have a DBS currently
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

Experience supporting students with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia)
