Location: Barking and DagenhamContract: Full-time | Long-term
A Pupil Referral Unit in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a resilient Learning Support Assistant to work with students who have been excluded from mainstream education. Pupils present with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, and additional SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in small class settings
- Help manage challenging behaviour using positive strategies
- Build trusting relationships to re-engage learners
- Support emotional wellbeing and personal development
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in PRU, SEMH, youth xbpsjku work, or mentoring
- Calm, consistent, and confident personality
- Passion for supporting vulnerable young people
