Learning Support Assistant - Chesham, Buckinghamshire

Support students with additional needs in a supportive and inclusive secondary environment.

Tradewind is recruiting a compassionate and pro-active Learning Support Assistant in Chesham, Buckinghamshire for a forward-thinking secondary academy with a strong commitment to inclusion and student wellbeing.

The role focuses on supporting students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key duties:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with additional needs
Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy and organisation
Support students with social, emotional or behavioural needs
Work closely with teachers, SENCo and pastoral staff
Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience supporting young people or SEN (school, care, youth work or similar)
Is patient, resilient and adaptable
Understands safeguarding responsibilities and KCSIE requirements
Holds an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to obtain one)
