Learning Support Assistant

Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their potential? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Hackney from January 2026.

About the Role:

As an LSA, you will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support to students who require additional help with their learning. This includes working one-to-one, in small groups, and supporting in-class activities to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored learning support to students with a variety of needs, including SEN.
Assist with lesson preparation and classroom resources.
Encourage student engagement and participation in learning activities.
Monitor and track student progress in collaboration with teaching staff.
Support positive behaviour management strategies within the classroom.Requirements:

Previous experience as an LSA or in a similar support role (desirable).
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with young people.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
