Crookhey Hall School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work alongside teachers in delivering high-quality education to small groups. LSAs play a vital role in classroom support, behaviour management, and helping pupils access a broad and balanced curriculum. What You’ll Do Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups to help them engage and succeed in lessons Assist teachers across a range of subjects and classroom activities Prepare engaging resources and displays to enhance learning Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and self-esteem Supervise and support pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and transitions Help maintain a purposeful, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment Attend training and staff meetings to share ideas and grow your skills What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping young people achieve their potential, patient, resilient, and calm under pressure, and a strong communicator who works well in a team. You should be adaptable, positive, and ready to learn, with a full UK driving licence. Essential: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C / 4 or above) Basic IT skills and confidence with digital tools High expectations of pupil behaviour and achievement Full UK Driving Licence Desirable: Experience in education, care, or support work Qualifications in Childcare, Education, or Social Care Experience supporting pupils with Autism or SEMH At Crookhey Hall, we support every child to thrive.
