Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on and committed individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. This role is ideal for someone who is practical, resilient, and motivated by making a real difference in young people's lives.
You will be working closely with students who have a range of additional needs, supporting them both in the classroom and throughout the school day. The role requires patience, consistency, and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of school life.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students with their learning, behaviour, and social development
Assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities
Providing one-to-one and small group support where required
Helping to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and confident manner
Supporting students during break times, transitions, and off-site activities
Assisting with personal care, including toileting and hygiene needsWho We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will:
Be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Have a calm, firm, and approachable manner
Be physically active and willing to engage in practical, hands-on support
Be comfortable supporting students with personal care needs
Have strong communication skills
