Learning Support Assistant - Reception (ASD Support)

Bagshot, Surrey Heath | ASAP Start | Full Time

A supportive and well-regarded primary school in Bagshot, Surrey Heath is seeking to appoint a committed and experienced Learning Support Assistant on a full-time basis, starting ASAP.

This role will involve providing dedicated support to a Reception-aged pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The school is looking for a calm, patient and proactive individual who can provide consistent 1:1 support, helping the child to access learning, follow routines and develop socially within the classroom environment.

The successful learning support assistant will:

• Have experience working within a UK primary or Early Years setting
• Have prior experience supporting pupils with ASD, ideally in EYFS
• Be confident delivering 1:1 support and adapting activities to meet individual needs
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and parents
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
• Have up-to-date safeguarding training or be willing to complete this
