Learning Support Assistant - Special School

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming special school in Croydon. This special school in Croydon provides high-quality education and training for pupils with additional needs.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils throughout the school day, working closely with teachers and therapists in Croydon. You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports education and training.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Supporting pupils with additional needs in the classroom and around the school
Providing 1:1 and small-group support during lessons and activities
Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
Helping pupils access learning through adapted and practical activities
Supporting behaviour, emotional regulation, and positive engagement
Encouraging independence, confidence, and social skills
Supporting personal care and mobility where required
Observing, recording, and sharing pupil progress with staff
Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
Maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive environmentThe Learning Support Assistant role is based in Croydon and offers excellent experience within a specialist setting focused on education and training.
