Early Years Teaching Assistant - Reception (SEN Support)

Reeson Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croydon seeking to appoint a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis starting after Easter.

This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with Autism, helping them access learning, follow routines and develop socially within the Early Years environment.

The school is looking for a patient, nurturing and resilient individual who is confident supporting children with additional needs and can provide consistent, structured support throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will:

Have experience working within an Early Years or primary school setting

Have prior experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD)

Be confident delivering 1:1 support and adapting activities to meet individual needs

Be comfortable supporting with personal care (essential)

Demonstrate strong behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO

Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)

Have up-to-date safeguarding training or be willing to complete this
