We’re seeking a compassionate and committed Learning Support Assistant to join Fieldstone School, a rapidly growing specialist school supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work under the guidance of the Deputy Principal and class teachers to deliver person-centred learning programmes tailored to individual needs. Your role will involve one-to-one and small-group support, helping students engage with learning, develop life skills, and thrive in a structured, nurturing environment. A full induction programme and ongoing professional development will be provided. Key Responsibilities • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning programmes for pupils with SEMH needs • Provide general classroom support, helping to manage behaviour and engagement • Help create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment • Support pupils’ emotional and social development, encouraging independence and confidence • Contribute to the safeguarding and welfare of all students • Undertake clerical and administrative tasks to support teaching and learning activities What We’re Looking For • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting • Experience supporting pupils with additional or SEMH needs • A team player with strong communication and organisational skills • Able to work independently and proactively in a busy school environment • Knowledge or training in relevant teaching and learning strategies (desirable) If you’re ready to bring energy, empathy, and commitment to a rewarding role, we’d love to hear from you.
