Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Primary Schools | Southampton
Teaching Personnel are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for primary schools across Southampton. Support pupils in KS1 and KS2, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), 1:1 and in small groups, helping them build confidence, independence, and engagement.
We welcome applicants with SEN experience or transferable skills from childcare, youth work, coaching, or support roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs Supporting small group learning and targeted interventions Assisting the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities Helping pupils remain engaged, focused, and confident in their learning Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with children or young people Have knowledge or understanding of SEN (desirable but not essential) Be patient, adaptable, and supportive Be confident working independently and as part of a team Be passionate about helping children achieve their full potential What Teaching Personnel Offers:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
