Learning Support Mentor


Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a specialist SEN setting where every day brings challenge, connection, and purpose?


We’re seeking a Learning Support Mentor to join a dedicated team in a high-needs SEND school in North Liverpool. This full-time role offers the chance to work closely with pupils aged 3–19 who present a wide range of needs—including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning profiles.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing consistent, compassionate 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and personalised learning
  • Using tools like PECs, Makaton, sensory resources, and structured routines
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic progress
  • Adapting activities and environments to meet diverse sensory and communication needs


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in SEND or youth support is ideal—but heart, resilience, and adaptability are essential
  • A calm, nurturing presence with strong boundaries and a sense of humour
  • Confidence working with high-needs pupils, including those with challenging behaviours
  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and continuous learning
