The School for Vocational and Technical Studies at South Thames College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Criminology lecturer to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment and tutorial support to students to maximise achievement and continuous improvement.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum with employer engagement and learner skills development and select appropriate assessment methods and criteria, assess the work and progress of students by reference to the criteria and provide constructive feedback to students.

We’d like you to be qualified to degree level in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have recent experience teaching Criminology in an FE College. You’ll demonstrate a proven ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons, alongside experience in assessing, tracking and supporting student progress.

A strong understanding of current FE curriculum frameworks and quality standards is essential, as is the ability to use digital technologies effectively to enhance teaching, learning and assessment. You’ll possess excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a diverse range of learners, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
