We are seeking a highly experienced Deputy Legal Cashier to join their finance team. This is a key role supporting the smooth operation of the cashiering function, ensuring full compliance with Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules, and deputising for the Senior/Head Legal Cashier when required
Key Responsibilities: Deputise for the Senior/Head Legal Cashier during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of service, oversight, and compliance. Provide guidance, support, and informal supervision to junior cashiering staff. Assist with workload allocation and prioritisation within the cashiering team to ensure efficiency and deadlines are met. Review and sign off transactions where appropriate, ensuring adherence to internal controls and procedures. Support the training and onboarding of new team members within the cashiering function. Escalate any compliance issues, risks, or discrepancies to senior management in a timely and appropriate manner. Support the day-to-day operations of the legal cashiering function, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
