Legal Counsel - Global Consumer Business

We are working with a highly dynamic, fast-moving consumer business based in West London who are seeking a Legal Counsel (6-7 years PQE) to join its in‑house legal team. This is a broad, hands‑on role offering genuinely varied work in a fast‑paced B2C environment, with close exposure to commercial decision‑making across the business. The Role: Working closely with senior stakeholders, the Legal Counsel will provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across a wide range of matters, including:
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including supplier, distribution, marketing, advertising, sponsorship and technology contracts. Advising on UK consumer law, including product launches, pricing, promotions, advertising and customer‑facing terms and conditions. Partnering with marketing, product, digital and commercial teams to support new initiatives and campaigns. Supporting data protection and privacy matters (GDPR). Managing external legal advisers where required. Assisting with general corporate, governance and day‑to‑day legal matters. Contributing to the ongoing development of legal processes and templates within a growing in‑house function.
Candidate Profile:
Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent). Ideally 6–7 years’ PQE straight from Private Practice, a background from a Global Consumer Business or a mix of private practice and in‑house. Strong experience in commercial contracts, ideally within a consumer or B2C context. Comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, changeable environment. Commercial, practical and confident working directly with non‑legal stakeholders. In‑house experience is advantageous but not essential.
